HOSPITALITY EMPLOYEES ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (H.E.A.P.)
AT THE KEMMONS WILSON SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY AND RESORT MANAGEMENT

Dear Colleague:

As you know, the current COVID-19 pandemic has displaced many hospitality workers and disrupted our industry and our lives indefinitely.  During these difficult times, as many hospitality businesses are dealing with existential issues, many workers are also struggling to make ends meet.  The H.E.A.P initiative at the Kemmons Wilson School is aimed at helping hospitality employees impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing free CARE PACKAGES of groceries and household supplies that could last a family for a week.  We plan to continue this effort until there is a need in the industry.  We have several donors and partners joining us in this effort including:

 - The Kemmons Wilson Family Foundation (KWFF)

 - Kemmons Wilson Culinary Institute (KWCI)
 - Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis
 - Hospitality associations (MMHLA, MMAA and NRA)
 - MALCO Theatres 
 - Girl Scouts Heart of the South
 - US Foods

 

We are seeking your help to identify the employees at your establishment that have been impacted by COVID-19 so we can reach out to them to take advantage of our assistance program.  Please only consider employees that have been laid-off, furloughed, or been affected in some way that has been detrimental to their employment status during the last two months. 

We request that you fill out the form in this survey by listing the name and contact information of your employees that have been impacted by COVID-19 to the best of your ability.  We will then make every effort to reach them as quickly as possible to inform them about our assistance program. 

 

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND THIS SURVEY LINK TO OTHER HOSPITALITY EMPLOYERS IN THE MEMPHIS AREA SO THAT THEY CAN ALSO TAKE ADVANTAHGE OF OUR EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

Given the need for this program, we respectfully request that you feel free to submit this form as many times as you wish if you happen to find new contact information for your employees or the employment status of your employees changes during the upcoming weeks.
